Michele Affidato was born in Croton, where he lives and works.
Still
a teenager began attending a goldsmith of his city, and after learning,
for several years, knowledge and working techniques, in 1987 started
his own goldsmith shop. Soon it became known and
appreciated for his artistic ability, creating jewelry inspired by the
Greek-Byzantine style and modern jewelry. Create
several awards for events throughout Italy, participated in exhibitions
to fashion shows and also creating jewelry for personalities from the
worlds of entertainment, sport and culture.
During
his artistic experience, fascinated and passionate religious art, has
dedicated himself to studying it, creating many works for churches,
religious images and religious authority.
He's
been there four times in the Vatican by Pope Giovanni Paolo II and four times
by the Pope Benedetto XVI, who gave their blessing to some of his
creations of Sacred Art. In the jewelry shop of Crotone, we study the forms and ideas, putting the precious metal craftsmanship to create unique pieces. Michael's creations are reliable, all made entirely by hand and identified by the trademark 5 kr.
